Invited lecture „Mycotoxins in food – consumer exposure and public health significance“

On 6 March 6 2020, a symposium “Food Safety and Consumer Protection” organized by the Institute for Scientific Research and Art Work in Velika Gorica, and in collaboration with the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, University of Zagreb and the Croatian Veterinary Institute Zagreb, was held in Velika Gorica. At this Symposium Assoc Prof PhD Jelka Pleadin presented through the invited lecture „Mycotoxins in food – consumer exposure and public health significance“ investigations about mycotoxins occurrence in different foodstuffs and their potential adverse effects for human health. Also, Project objectives and the importance of scientific research about mycotoxins in Croatian traditional meat products were highlighted, with acknowledgement to the Croatian Science Foundation for funding the subject research.
