Invited lecture „Food chain contaminants from by-products of the food industry to final products“
The 3rd International Conference Food Industry By-Products was held on 29 August, 2022 in Osijek, Croatia. At this Conference Project leader Prof PhD Jelka Pleadin presented data about contaminants in food chain through the invited lecture within the title „Food chain contaminants from by-products of the food industry to final products“, by the authors Jelka Pleadin, Tanja Bogdanović, Teuta Murati and Ivana Kmetič. The meeting was organized for the third time by the Faculty of Food Technology Osijek, the Croatian Academy of Technical Sciences (HATZ), the Association for Nutrition and Dietetics, the European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (EHEDG) and the Croatian Science Foundation. Pathways of occurrence of different contaminants in the food chain was presented as also the importance of scientific research about mycotoxins as contaminants of traditional meat products was mentioned with acknowledgement to the Croatian Science Foundation for funding these studies during four-year Project period.
